SCOUTING FOR FOOD - SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 28, 2015



Greetings Pack 3763,

SCOUTING 4 FOOD - SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 28, 2015  is coming up! It is our annual Council-wide Service Project for all Scouts!  What a great opportunity to exercise a good deed!! 

Scouting 4 Food helps Manna Conejo Valley Food Bank serve needy families and provides opportunities for boys and girls to learn to serve.

Please share with our young Scouts about food pantries that exist to aid the poor or unfortunate in our community.  We had a fantastic turnout and contribution from Pack 3763 last year and hope to see the same this year!


WHAT TO DO:
 

  1. Print the appropriate number of flyers for your Cub Scout to distribute in your neighborhood or alternately pick up a flyer package at the February Pack Meeting (Blue and Gold) on February 20th.
  2. Drop a collection announcement flyer on the doorstep of your neighborhood homes between February 17th and February 24th (if you have fellow Cub Scouts in the same neighborhood, please coordinate your efforts). Please do not drop flyers later than February 24th. 
  3. Go to the same homes on Saturday, February 28th, between 8.30am and 11.30am to collect any donations items left out.  Please leave Thank you notes (see attachment).
  4. Following collection, please bring your donations to our Pack's central collection location on February 28th between 11.30 am and 12 pm. Please arrive no later than 12.00 pm as all the items have to be taken to the District collection center. All donations must be in bags or boxes with the total number of items in each bag or box clearly written on the outside with a Sharpie.
 Please make sure your Scout wears their Class A uniform while participating in Scouting 4 Food.
