The flag placement day at Pierce Brothers Memorial Park was touching. A family who lost their 19 year old son in the Marines was there to give a speech; it was a beautiful reminder of the sacrifice of our country's young men and women. Their pain is sharp, real-- and they expressed how much it means to them that our boys were there to honor all our country's heroes by placing flags at their graves.
There was a big turnout with boys from many different packs and troops coming to celebrate the sacrifice and service of the veterans. Seeing the flags waving in the breeze, you notice just how many people have served our country, even just at this location where we live. Imagine the sacrifice of those all around our country!
Thank you to all the boys and their families for coming out to honor these brave men and women!
